PhD funding opportunities
The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities is a promoter of interdisciplinary research both within and between departments. It performed very well in the last Research Assessment Exercise (2001), achieving a rating of 5* in Physical Education, Sports Science and Recreation Management and Social Sciences, a rating of 5 in English and Drama, European Studies and Geography, and a rating of 4 in the Business School, Design and Technology and Art and Design. This reconfirms Loughborough University as a major research presence across the arts, humanities and social sciences.
